Bureau of Land Management

The BLM, an agency within the US Department of the Interior [USDOI], administers 261 million acres of America's public lands, located primarily in 12 Western States.

Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife & Parks

The MDFWP, through its employees and citizen commission, provides for the stewardship of the fish, wildlife, parks and recreational resources of Montana. Montana has more than 48 state parks.


US Fish & Wildlife Service

The USFWS, a bureau within the USDOI, manages the 93 million-acre National Wildlife Refuge System, which encompasses more than 520 refuges and thousands of small wetlands and other special management areas. It also operates 66 National Fish Hatcheries, 64 fishery resource offices and 78 ecological services field stations.

US Forest Service

The USFS, an agency of the US Department of Agriculture [USDA], manages public lands in national forests and grasslands, which encompass 191 million acres of land [an area equivalent to the size of Texas].
