SUPPORT HOUSE BILL 269

Dear Email Sentry:

I know you are getting quite a few email alerts of many kinds but you are are making quite a difference this session. Many Senators and Representatives remark on the volume of emails and calls they have received on the bills in which we show interest!!! We're getting there folks - but we need a big push on a couple upcoming bills being heard on Tuesday in both the House and Senate.

SUPPORT SENATE BILL 77 ...

SB 77 removes the sunset provision of our ever-popular and effective Block Management Program. SB 77 sailed through the Senate with a single opposing vote. With your support we hope to succeed in the House as well. SB 77 will be heard in House Fish Wildlife and Parks Commmittee on Tuesday March 8 at 3 PM. Please call in your support at 406-444-4800.

OPPOSE SENATE BILL 312...

The House FWP committee also needs to hear your opposition to the severe penalties for 2nd and 3rd time "trespass" offenders in SB312, although it hasn't been scheduled a hearing as of yet. WE MUST KEEP THIS EFFORT UP RIGHT UNTIL THE BILL IS HEARD IN COMMITTEE - IT IS NOT YET SCHEDULED BUT DON'T LET THIS STOP YOU FROM CALLING IN (444-4800) OR EMAILING YOUR OBJECTIONS.

SUPPORT HOUSE BILL 269...

HB269 - The other big bill we must now call members of the SENATE Fish and Game committee (HB269) now has a hearing date of next TUESDAY, MARCH 8. This is the bill that, like county roads providing access to public lands, prohibits the loss of public access to public waters when a road is abandon. WE NEED TO MAKE SURE OUR VOICE IS HEARD LOUD AND CLEAR ON THIS ONE. FWP, TU and other organizations have noticed our substantial power in influencing a bills outcome and as well as our own interests, WE MUST SHOW OUR COLORS ON HB269. PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS.

CALL IN TO THE SENATE FISH AND GAME COMMITTEE MEMBERS - FLOOD THEIR DESKS WITH NOTES OF SUPPORT - HELP US WIN AND PASS THIS BILL OR BETTER YET COME AND TESTIFY - HELP US FILL THE COMMITTEE ROOM!!!

Title: Clarify recreational access to public waters upon road abandonment. This bill narrowly passed the House and it will take a strong expression of support from the sporting community to win Senate approval. Come protect your stream access rights. Testify for HB 269 and help continued public access to public waters.
