The Joint Federal-State Board of the Montana Fish & Wildlife Conservation Trust will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, June 6 at Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission room, 1420 6th Ave, Helena at 10 am. Agenda
topics will include review of the Citizens Advisory Board funding recommendations for the current cycle and other regular business items. The public is invited to observe the proceedings.

The Montana Fish & Wildlife Conservation Trust was established by the US Congress, and funded by proceeds from the sale of federally leased cabin sites on Canyon Ferry Reservoir. The purpose of the Trust is to provide a permanent source of funding for the acquisition of publicly accessible land in the State of Montana in order to:

  • Restore and conserve wildlife habitat;
  • Enhance public hunting, fishing and recreational opportunities;
  • Improve public access to public lands.

Two independent oversight Boards, a Joint Federal-State Board and the Citizens Advisory Board, are responsible for insuring the goals of the Trust are met. Board meetings are open to the public and public participation is encouraged.

Additional information on the Trust and previous meeting minutes are available by contacting MFWCT, PO Box 1993, Helena, MT 59624 or email fwctrust@mtwf.org.
