Helena—Helena area residents will have an opportunity
to meet Chris Marchion, president of the Montana
Wildlife Federation, at a “Lunch
and Learn” at the Lewis and Clark Library
on Feb. 2 at noon. Marchion will be speaking on legislative
issues of interest to hunters and anglers, and specifically
legislation relating to the public’s access to streams
from public bridges. He will also discuss MWF projects aimed
at improving relations between sportspersons and landowners.
The public is invited to bring questions they have for discussion with Marchion.
“Lunch and Learn” is sponsored by Montana Shares
to acquaint the public with its nonprofit member organizations
based in Helena. Montana Shares is a partnership of Montana-based
nonprofit organizations devoted to improving the quality of
life in the communities throughout the state by promoting cooperative fundraising through workplace giving.
Montana Wildlife Federation, with nearly 7,000
members, is the largest and oldest statewide nonprofit
wildlife conservation organization of hunters
and anglers who work to protect Montana’s wildlife, lands,
waters and its hunting and fishing heritage.
