Pour two-inches of water in a slow cooker (e.g. crock pot)
and turn on high.
Add three cloves of chopped garlic (or a tablespoon of bottled
chopped garlic).
Add seasoned salt and minced onion to taste.
Brown your roast on both sides in a hot skillet of either cooking
oil or bacon fat.
Put roast in the cooker and turn down to low setting.
Cook for about three hours or until a toothpick can be pushed
easily through the meat but the meat is still firm. Don’t
over cook else the slow cooker will eventually make the roast
a shrunken ball floating in a gravy of the juices that should
be in the meat.
